About

The Full Story

Art has always been my sanctuary – the place where I could breathe, listen, and speak in colors when words felt out of reach. I never chose art; it chose me. It was how I learned to move through the world and make sense of it. Over time, creation became both refuge and compass – a quiet form of dialogue between my inner life and the world around me.

I began my artistic journey as a tattoo artist with my own studio, but felt called to deepen my understanding of art’s roots – to explore its history, its philosophy, and the ways it mirrors the human condition. This led me to pursue my BFA in Multidisciplinary Art at Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art in Tel Aviv. During that time, I started teaching private art lessons, which soon evolved into something more meaningful than I anticipated. Many of my students sought art as a form of healing, and through them I discovered the profound intersection between art, emotion, and resilience.

I had the privilege of accompanying people of all ages, abilities, and life stories, witnessing how creativity can bring light and dignity into moments of struggle. Through these encounters, I came to see that art is a gift we can offer ourselves – a way to walk through the world with a sense of belonging and to nurture the unique seeds that live within each of us. Over time, I realized that becoming an art therapist is the natural extension of everything I am – a way to bring my creative and human experiences into service of healing and connection.

Over the past decade, I’ve worked with diverse individuals and communities – collaborating with nonprofits, rehabilitation centers, and schools to facilitate creative experiences that nurture connection, empowerment, and growth. These encounters have shaped my path and reaffirmed my belief that creativity can be a bridge between inner and outer worlds.

I’m currently pursuing my MA in Art Therapy and Counseling at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), where I’m completing my clinical internship. My therapeutic approach integrates humanistic, existential, and Jungian perspectives, alongside parts-based frameworks such as Internal Family Systems (IFS). I’m deeply inspired by ancient wisdom traditions – from Kabbalah to mythological and cross-cultural narratives – which remind us of our shared longing for wholeness and belonging.

My work grows from a deep belief that art can illuminate what words cannot – transforming pain into meaning, emotion into insight, and separation into connection.

I see art as a way to turn what hurts into what heals – a grounded process of finding light within the human experience.
